Which Thermal Printers Work with LogBook?

LogBook supports all ESC/POS compatible Bluetooth and USB thermal printers. Here are the most popular models in India:

2-inch (58mm) Portable Printers
  • PeriPeri BT-58L / BT-582
  • RUGTEK BP-03 Bluetooth
  • Generic Chinese 58mm BT printers
  • Any ESC/POS 58mm printer
3-inch (80mm) Counter Printers
  • TVS RP-3200 Star / RP-3160
  • Epson TM-T82 / TM-T88
  • RUGTEK RP-80US
  • Any ESC/POS 80mm printer

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

1

Turn On the Thermal Printer

Power on your printer. For PeriPeri BT-58L, hold the power button for 2 seconds until the blue LED starts blinking - this means it's in pairing mode. Make sure there is thermal paper loaded in the printer.

2

Enable Bluetooth on Your Phone

Open your Android phone Settings and turn on Bluetooth. Wait a few seconds for available devices to appear in the list. Your printer should show up as "BT-58L", "InnerPrinter", "BlueTooth Printer", or similar.

3

Pair the Printer with Your Phone

Tap on the printer name to pair. If prompted for a pairing PIN, enter 1234 or 0000 (these are the default PINs for most thermal printers). Once paired, you'll see "Connected" or "Paired" status.

4

Open LogBook and Select the Printer

Open the LogBook app. Go to Settings then Printer Settings. Tap Scan Devices. Your paired printer will appear in the list. Tap on it to select it as your default printer. Choose your paper size: 2-inch (58mm) or 3-inch (80mm).

5

Test Print and Start Billing

Tap Test Print to verify everything works. A sample receipt with your store name should print immediately. Now you can create invoices and tap Print Invoice to print professional receipts with your store logo, item details, tax breakup, and UPI payment QR code.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Printer not showing in Bluetooth list? Make sure the printer is in pairing mode (LED blinking). Try turning the printer off and on again.
Connection failed error? Go to Bluetooth settings, "Forget" the printer device, and re-pair it. Make sure no other phone is connected to the same printer.
Blank or garbled print? Check that thermal paper is loaded correctly (shiny side facing down). Try a different paper roll.
Receipt mode vs Label mode? For PeriPeri printers, triple-press the Feed button within 1 second to switch between receipt printing (continuous paper) and label printing (die-cut stickers).
